A gentle agreement for Sound Journey Retreat Participation
To help create a respectful and supportive retreat environment, we ask everyone to follow these shared guidelines:
Listen with attention. When someone is speaking, please listen fully without interrupting, offering advice, or trying to fix anything.
Speak from your own experience. Share honestly and thoughtfully, using your own words and perspective, while allowing space for others to do the same.
Respect confidentiality. Personal stories and experiences shared during the retreat should not be discussed outside the group.
Honor boundaries and consent. Proximity and personal sharing are always optional. You are free to say yes or no at any time.
Limit technology use. Please silence all phones and devices and do not bring them in sound journeys or use them during meditation or group sharing events so you can stay present and be respectful towards others and the experience.
Come as you are. There is no expectation to perform, explain yourself, or participate in any specific way. Participation is always your choice.
Maintain quiet during sound journeys. Move gently if you need to adjust or step out. Take breaks whenever you need space.
Care for the shared space. Please treat the land, facilities, food, and common areas with consideration and cleanliness.
Take care of your body. Rest as needed, drink water regularly, and pay attention to your physical needs throughout the retreat.
Support a respectful community. Engage with others kindly and without judgment, comparison, or competition.
Allow the experience to unfold naturally. There is no need to force insight or outcome; take what is useful to you.
